Julian Alvarez, destined for Manchester City, scored a rare double hat-trick in Tuesday night’s 8-1 Copa Libertadores (South American Champions League) triumph over Alianza Lima.
According to Sky Sports, the 22-year-old signed a five-and-a-half-year contract with City on Deadline Day in January. The Premier League club paid River Plate a fee in the region of £14 million for the young Argentine, who will join Pep Guardiola’s squad in the summer.
