Against Brighton and Crystal Palace, Manchester United will play their final two games of the season on December 14.
In the last two games of the season, Manchester United fans want to see Alejandro Garnacho get a chance to play in the team in a proper way.
A merciful conclusion is nearing for United, and there isn’t much left to play for in the games that are still left on their schedule. Qualification for the Champions League is now all but out of reach, and a spot in the Europa League for the following season is all but assured as well.
There is just one thing left for Ralf Rangnick’s team to accomplish for the fans and the incoming manager Erik ten Hag, and that is to try to finish the season on an upbeat note. It would also be a good idea for the interim manager to give some of the club’s bright young players a fair amount of playing time.
When it comes to Anthony Elanga, who is having a breakout season with the first squad, Rangnick hasn’t been afraid to do so during his brief tenure as manager. Three goals and two assists have helped him establish himself as a regular in the team, and he has also put in numerous passionate performances.
Fans, on the other hand, are eager to see even more of the club’s brilliant prospects given an opportunity in the future. Despite the fact that United is dealing with a number of issues on and off the field, the club’s ability to produce a steady stream of talent through its academy has not been compromised.
In the Under-18s’ journey to their first appearance in the FA Youth Cup final since 2011, this has been exemplified. When the match takes place on May 11 at Old Trafford, there will be 45,000 supporters in attendance.
Fans, on the other hand, want to see more of that talent in action for the first team, and they have singled out dynamic winger Garnacho as the player they want to see receive a meaningful chance in the final league games against Brighton and Crystal Palace the most. For the final two games of the season, MEN Sport asked fans: ‘Which Manchester United kid do you want to see in action the most over the final two games of the season?’
Garnacho was the overwhelming winner, with 62 percent of the 3,292 votes cast. The youngster has risen to attention this season as a result of a string of outstanding performances throughout the younger divisions. It was his performances in the Youth Cup that drew the attention of the media, with his five goals and three assists in only five games playing a significant role in helping United reach the final.
His form has already earned him a place in the senior Argentina squad, and he made his first-team debut for Manchester United as a late substitute in the club’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea earlier this month. Now, fans are clamoring for even more footage to be released.
Playmaker Hannibal Mejbri took second position with 27 percent of the vote, followed by left-back Alvaro Fernandez, who received 9 percent. In the end, 2% chose ‘other,’ with some people expressing their desire to see them all participate.
